Importing Personal Effects To Cyprus
As Cyprus is a member of the EU, there is no customs
clearance or governmental duties to be paid.
You will only need a copy of your passport
and a packing list to move your goods to
Cyprus.

Prohibitions And Restrictions
In general it is in your interest not to import the following items:
• Firearms & ammunition
• Inflammable goods & substances
• Plants & plant material
• Foodstuffs, perishables or otherwise
• Narcotics and dangerous goods
• Offensive materials
• Alcohol & Tobacco

Transit Times
Groupage or share load consignments to Cyprus will usually take 6 to 9 weeks door to door, depending on volumes being shipped, immigration delays and prevailing weather conditions. Sole use containers normally take 3 to 6 weeks, and there is a weekly service to Limasol.

Domestic Pets
Hunts can recommend a specialised shipper of animals to assist you in sending your family pet(s) from home to home. They will coordinate all documentation and necessary veterinary procedures.

Importing Motor Vehicles To Cyprus
Importation of motor vehicles to Cyprus will be subject to compliance, it is probable that duty and tax will apply. Provided that you have owned and used your motor vehicle for at least 6 months prior to transfer, you may import it when taking up residency in Cyprus.
